The VietnamWood show has been one of the strongest trade shows in Southeast Asia for the American hardwood industry. The show, which is held every other year and has moved to November in 2025, represents the best opportunity of the year for direct networking between US companies and the Vietnamese industry. AHEC hosted a small pavilion at the first edition of the Thailand Woodworking & Furniture Exhibition (TIWF) in 2024, and tentatively plans to attend the show in 2026. The show is held every other year in Bangkok, Thailand, and is the only US Hardwood Pavilion in SE Asia for the year. In 2022 Thailand imported over $22 million worth of American hardwood lumber, becoming one of our top 10 global markets. The country has experienced a tourism boom and developing regions of the country are using more hardwood products in hotel, office space, and residential construction.
